Rana Sangram singh or popularly known as Rana Sanga, the king of Mewar having his famous fort at Chittorgarh, had faced the Muslim invaders like Babar and others. He not only defended his territories of Mewar or the other lands of Rajputana, but use to defend the whole Northern India. He fought the invaders like Babar at the boundary of Punjab which were 1000 miles away from his home state. His battle with Babar is well known in the History as the Battle of Panipat. Babar was defeated, and run away and returned back to his region of Kabul and Kandhar. But, Babar could judge that the other rulers of whole of India are weak in the spirit of unity and brotherhood. They were brave and good swordsmen but lack army formation and battle craft. The climates of this country were very soft and pleasurable. The agricultural production was beyond his imagination. The fruits, vegetables, fish animals of this country were lovely and pleasant; this attracted the attention of Babar to a great extend. He made up his mind to win and settle down in India. He invaded India several times. Faced the great fighters and the defenders like Rana Sanga, once or twice, But in last, he succeeded in his mission and finally arrived in India.


Rana Sanga fought 80 battles in his life, either with invaders or with other rajput kings of Rajputana. He lost his one eye, one hand, one leg and had many wound scars on his body.
